Cylnx: Peacetime Afterglow

"Peacetime", funny word when you think about it. It's a time defined by mortals as a period where there are no violent conflicts between nations. Being a warrior I barely a remember a time where I wasn't dressed or ready for a good fight. I mean I keep my body at a fitness level so rigorous, its like I'm getting ready for competition every day. My dresses are by definition skimpy for a reason, no fighting woman would be caught dead wearing a long dress with flimsy sleeves or overbearing armor that would restrict ones movements.

So today, with a long period of no summons, no special gathering journeys, the DKRC is off-season with my team on paid sabbatical and an entire mega-apartment to myself. I thought I enjoy my own "peacetime" first off by shopping for clothes made by others. First time too because I've always made my own clothes for obvious reasons. The styles of this century are weird but I can't say too much against what I've been wearing for years, heh. Eventually, I settled on three pieces of clothing that where the largest I can find: A full body black spandex suit with red highlights, some shirts and cargo pants and a nice top/denim shorts combo.  Guess which one I get to wear?

The rest of the day was pretty mundane, even for me. Working out wasn't an option because I already did my hard training and none of my enemies are acting up or causing trouble. Summons have been at a crawl, which I can see is a good thing because it really is no fun when I have to do all the work. So I treated myself to a home movie marathon with a heavy beer, a sandwich with a meat pile thicker than a phone book and a bowl of my all time favorite treat: Kitty Bitties! After 14 and a half hours of horror, I took more time to gaze myself at the mirror with my first set of bought clothes, posing and tensing, they really held up.

Nothing much going on after that, I did a few reps with sixty tons before dropping them and going taking a nap. Instinct took over once again as I slept more as a cat rather than a human. Imagine getting a half ton of myself to sleep on top of a shelf. At the end of the day I really did enjoy my personal me time to feel like a normal person for once. Makes me envy the mundane, day-to-day people of this world...
