Bigdad: There Was a Monster Under the Bed...

Emphasis on "was". I can imagine years ago when Xenny was a little kid and was staying over at her grandmothers place. When Xenny goes up to get his grandmother who was sharpening her sword at the time, to tell her that there's a monster under the bed. Playing along she goes and checks under the bed to assure him that there's nothing there...

...Until it actually pulled her in. Xenny was in a panic until he hears the brutal sounds of her beating up the monster and he even rooted for her victory. It was just over in minutes and Valkyrie comes out victorious. The conversation that followed goes like this:

Valkyrie: I thought it was playing around but you're right, there is a monster under your bed... well was.

Xenny: Did you really get it grandma?

Valkyrie: Yep, I don't think it won't bother you anymore.

Xenny: Yay! Uh... what is that on your sword?

Valkyrie: Oh, this? It's just... uh... strawberry jam... yeah. with a bit of a metalic smell.

Xenny: Can I have a taste?

Valkyrie: No! No, honey, you know how your mother feels about having sweets before bed. Say, let me take you to sleep in my bed for tonight.

Xenny: Oh okay. Thank you grandma.

Valkyrie: Anytime sweetie.

And they both leave the room hopefully not letting Xenny see the growing pool of blood that started to pool out underneath.
